Habitat Construction & Developments (Habitat) has built a track record for completing quality projects on time and on budget.

Habitat was established by Christopher Spring with a basic philosophy of providing the customer with a quality project at a fair price. We also recognise that the customer trusts us to deliver on the expectations that have been set. It is one thing to simply construct a building but to periodically place yourself in the customers’ shoes while you are doing it is another. Habitat considers this process to be one of the attributes which distinguishes a great builder. In Habitat’s case, this has resulted in the continued growth of the company for nearly two decades, with no external promotion, just reference by word of mouth.

Christopher is the Director of the company and has over 19 years experience in the Construction industry.

Christopher is a Registered Building Practitioner in both the Domestic & Commercial Sectors and is a member of the Master Builder’s Association.

Christopher believes that one of the greatest skills to have when building is the unique capacity to visualise the completed project and to contribute innovative and constructive input during the construction process, to both the customer and the architect.

Christopher believes that his time spent cabinet making and then furthering his carpentry skills under the watchful eye of a builder from the ‘Old School’ has given him a keen eye for detail and the foundations for producing projects of high quality.

Always mindful of the importance of communication, Habitat believes one of its greatest strengths is the skill to communicate clearly with the customer, architect and contractors.

The Habitat Team is made of both employees and contractors.

The employees are predominantly carpenters who have completed their apprenticeships with the company and contractors from various trades who have been carefully selected to deliver to the high standards which Habitat sets. The Habitat Team is complemented by a group of qualified, skilled contractors across a variety of trades.

We have carefully selected the contractors who work with us based upon their commitment to the same values as Habitat – quality, innovation and service.

Habitat is now a preferred contractor for the City of Manningham and a select group of award wining architects. Habitat is continually improving the service it delivers and always aspires to guarantee customer satisfaction.
